Side Effects May Include

Side Effects May Include is a new dance work premiering August 8–10, 2025, as part of Sanspointe Dance Company's Guest House performance series at The Dance Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama.

This piece examines the layers of misogyny and how its side effects manifest in the body. Drawing from the language of pharmaceutical warnings, it unpacks the deeper, unlisted symptoms of misogyny.

The original score is composed by Colin Kemper, a composer, performer, and educator whose work focuses on themes of mental wellness, emotional intimacy, and vulnerability. Kemper's compositions have been featured in various festivals and performances, including collaborations with dance and multimedia installations.
