Silence
I created Silence in the fall of 2018 while attending Troy University, marking my first choreographic work. The process of developing this piece profoundly influenced my approach to making dances. Silence is a contemporary modern dance work that explores the emotional and psychological impacts of human trafficking on women. Through movement and storytelling, the piece addresses the silence surrounding trauma, giving voice to the often-unheard experiences of those affected. Silence was showcased at multiple festivals, including the Alabama Dance Festival and CDC Fest in Orlando, FL, and was commissioned by Troy University to be presented at the DAP Festival in Italy.
